Hi all,

I am converting a 60 hp Mariner which originally had a CDI ignition system on it to a CDM system. I was able to locate a complete CDM assembly for a 60 with the harness and additional components for a very reasonable price. I also located the necessary trigger assembly. The unit has the correct red stator, as listed in the parts section. My question is are the flywheels the same for both setups? The flywheel I have has a ring magnet located in the center where the shaft and key mount. Just want to make sure I have all bases covered, because I can not find an underside picture of flywheels for either setup.

You will need the CDM flywheel as the magnets in center hub are different, the ADI magnets are horizontal N-S and the CDM magnets are vertical N-S that also why trigger is different....

Thnaks for the quick response. I was able to locate one for a good price. Hopefully I should have the conversion done next week. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Can the trigger magnets be replaced or do I need to replace the entire flywheel?
