Since I purchased the boat, there has been some argument as to what year the 150 Evinrude engine is. The serial number indicates it is a '91, but I believe, and was told by the seller, the whole power head may be a '93. She is mounted on a 20' Mako.

My issue...the engine was running great, as per usual. After sitting for ~2 hours on the water, upon attempting to start the engine, it turned over like normal two times. She normally fires on the third or fourth shot, but on turning the key for the next attempt, there was absolutely no response. No click, no turning over, no nothing. All other electronics on the console were strong. At the engine the power tilt was totally unresponsive as well.

I run everything off of one battery, mounted in the stern. The battery tested strong. Any ideas? Thanks for the help. Jason

jdiver. I just had similar problem. after much testing and checking it turned out to be a dirty ground wire at the battery. cleaned up the connection and presto.

There is an inline fuse somewheer in the vacinity of you starter solenoid. Check that fuse.
