If you have the control box with the single shift/throttle lever, there's a socket just beneath the throttle friction knob, it's covered with a rubber boot, that accepts a plug n play tach wiring harness. Purple wire to IGN, gray wire to SND, black wire to GND. The lighting terminal can be connected to the purple wire, or to your helm lights.
I got my tach harness at bass pro, but it's not in their on-line catalogue.
if you don't have the socket, just find the gray, black and purple wires in the wiring harness and tap into 'em.
