I just picked up a 93 Fast Strike 150 and have the OEM manual ordered and on the way. I checked it over, ran it on muffs, and put it in the water for a quick test and it appears to be rock solid. I do want to do a few preventative/basic items on the motor in the next day or two and do not yet have the manual. Any help you can provide on the below info will be very much appreciated. It has been a few years since I have had an outboard and know that some of these are model specific. I did search but could not find specifics for this motor
1. Recommended Lower Unit Oil? Any good way to flush the old, or do I just drain?
2. Recommended 2 stroke Oil (for VRO)? Any quick way to test the VRO?
3. Type of fuel filter?
4. Type of water pump / impeller? The tell and prop show good flow, should I replace the impeller or whole pump as proactive maintenance?
5. Type of tilt trim fluid and fill instructions?
6....anything I am missing for basic maintenance?
