'94 Merc 150 WOT RPM

I recently purchased a boat with a '94 150 Merc. Motor seems to be runnig great, but seems to me that the RPM's are not pulling high enough at WOT. I am right at 5000 rpm. Where should the RPM's be at.

it all depends on the size and weight of your boat and what type and pitch of prop you're using
