94 model 3.0 performance improvements

what can be done to improve this engine? is there a swap with anything else that will make this more powerful? thanks for all the help

No thats pretty much it any swap requires a compleat driveline.<br /><br />different gear ratio/y-pipe/motor mounts/ect<br /><br />tommays

looking at a wellcraft scarab sprint,,, comes with a 3 liter. i think a v 6 4.3 would fit, wonder if it would be worth the trouble?

Only if you have the money and time to throw away.<br /><br />Your best bet is to find a boat with the power you want. At least, you know the boat was designed for the type power you want to put in it.

Ayuh,.......<br /><br />I started with a 1974 Starcraft 221 Islander, 140hp, 181cid, 3.0l, Pre-alpha........<br />That I paid $2500.00 for,.. On a nice trailer......<br /><br />Now it's a 1974 Starcraft 221 Islander, 4.3LX, 205+hp, Alpha 1,...... On a nice trailer.......<br /><br />And,........ It Still Is,+ Will Always be Worth the $2500.00 I paid for it,.............<br /><br />The Other $10,000.00+ was just the Price of having Fun........................

I think this boat has a alpha 1 outdrive. Don s is sometimes brutal, but usually on target, the owner of this boat claims 45-50 with one or two people on board, probably enough for me. trying to pick up this litte toy for $4500, dont want to put another 4500 with it.
