I have a water leak coming from underneath my rectifier/regulator. I sealed it with the proper gasket, and OMC gasket sealer when I replaced it. What causes this?
Well, this may be hard to believe but we just ran into the same thing. First time I've seen this but the regulator gasket area was warped. We finally just put on a different one to solve the problem. Might not hurt to check the gasket area with a straight edge.
Obviously both surfaces have to be clean, straight and have no gouges or cracks.
