'94 waverunner three wont open up to full throttle

the throttle lever will open the carb all the way,but, the engine does not respond. it runs great up to half throttle but if i pull the lever any further than half there no differnt response. its like its still at half throttle. anyone got anything?

could be a fuel problem, or a exhaust leak try a shot of start fluid when it gets to wide open throttle, run it with the seat off and spray a shot of start fluid in to the breather if it picks up speed for a second you know it is fuel starvation, if it tries to stall out when you spray it then it isn't fuel and it could be an obstruction in the exhaust system holding it back, if it runs good with the seat off it is a leak in the exhaust system filling the hull with exhaust fimes.start checking the exhaust for a leak. most likely it will be a clogged up fuel system or just bad fuel. weak gas will kill the top end.

I have a 1992 WRIII with a 650. It was doing the same thing for a year, if carb is cleaned good check the spark plug boots. Mine had both connectors in the boots rusted and loosing contact. I put on automotive metal ends and boots with a uesd SS prop, runs better then the day it was new. Good Luck
