I have a 1994 yamaha saltwater series I that seems like i shoud lbe getting another 500 rpm out of. I have verified correct prop for the boat (from yamaha performance website), changed plugs, cleaned carbs, change fuel pumps, compression 120 on all 6, checked timing and coils, and decarbed it. I'm not sure what else to do. It will run 4900 rpm WOT and 35 or so mph. Yamaha says it shoudl turn 5500 ish and 45 mph. It starts and idles fine but I know its got more in it. Any ideas on what to check next? BTW, it is kept in the water, with bottom paint. It performed the same before and after paint, and nothing changed with all the things i tired.
