i have a 75hp force that will start but shortly after bogg back down.it will not idel with out reving the motor up and will still die down.once shifting into gear very fast so it does not stall it will run but has a bad skip.ive tried to set the idle screw but it does not make any changes at all.i did notice that if i squeeze the primer on the fuel line very hard to force feed it,it will pick up and run better even then at half throttle to full throttle it will bog down and cut off.i can smell gas so i fell like it is getting gas.when it boggs down it is hard to start back up as well.is this fuel pump or carb????i have replaced all fuel lines and made sure there is no air comming in.also i think the choke is not opening or is maybe stuck because when i push it in i do not here it clicking.could it be stuck open and flooding out the carb?????motor ran great last summer and now all of this over the winter sitting up.also one last thing.the motor shoots out water fine when rev.up and when in gear running but when you come to a stop or start slowing down it stops peeing.is this a thermostat or impeller????thanks for any help with these issuse.

Re: 96 75hp force

Most likely you need a fuel pump rebuild. Also check the fuel tank vent for any plugging. If you feel like it's not pumping enough water then always check and or replace the impeller. Easy fixes and cheap.
Do a compression &spark test and post what you get.
edit. The choke on these motors is different than older one.
Yours injects fuel into manifold rather than using butterflies to choke.
