Hello everyone, as the title says i broke the the plastic gas inlet off the carb. I havent had the chance to get the broken piece out, tomorrow i will. So my question is, is there a hardware store replacement i can use?I'd like to go with brass but don't know what thread i need. Any suggestions? This piece is a L shape fitting.

Might be a fine thread but not sure.
I think it will be possible to replace with the older brass L shaped fitting from TC/Wallboro carbs or make your own fitting.

I doubt the hole has threads :(
Usually they were pressed in.

When removing the old, be VERY careful and not damage the mounting surface or the new will leak.

You can probably tap the hole and use a hose barb??

So fleet and auto zone have nothing. So I'll probably have to order a replacement online. I did find an inlet for a different carb but not sure the threads are the same.

If you know of a boat junk yard you probably have a better luck of finding it in there. Or you can also call on some Marine online stores.

Gas was flowing out the carb after i had rebuilt the carb. So I rebuilt the fuel pump today and that seemed to solve that problem. And actually the engine started right up ran great. But another problem came up. ugh. I just posted that one.

Sometime a flooding carb, after it sets a while, the float lets go and works right.
Thus the flooding stops: magic!!! :)
