97 Mercury 125 Low Top Speed???

I opened up my setup this past weekend for the first time. I have a 17 foot center console and the engine on it is a 125 Mercury. This thing should FLY!! I was guessing id get 50mph on it, but the GPS says between 32 and 34 mph. Anyone know any reason why this might be?

Morpheus78 you need your rpms and what prop size and pitch, and also this might be better asked in the prop forum !! John

I would check to see if motor is running on all cylinders. may not be getting top end do to minus one cylinder.motor may sound good and seem to be ok but may be minus a cylinder.then id look into prop resize.
