!977 Chrysler 75 hp leaking fluids from a small hole in lower unit

I have a 1977 75 hp and when the motor is put down in operation position it leaked a greenish brown fluid along with a red oil from a small manufactured hole in the lower unit right below the vent plug. I know some motors have holes to drain fluids that get into the leg but I don't know what these fluids are or where they are leaking from any help would be greatly appreciated

Possibly old unburnt fuel from in the crank, can also indicate a faulty fuel pump diaphram, but you haven't mentioned how long since you have had it running.
Also check you lower unit gear oil for any contamination. Greenish brown sounds like residue you get around your carbies when they haven't been used for a while, like a vertagrease type substance, the oil could be the separated two stroke oil from the fuel but I am guessing with that.

Probably unburned gas/ oil.
Drain and fill the lower unit.
If the oil has water? Do a pressure test and find the leak.

Thanks guys. I think it's fuel it smells like fuel. It's gone from brownish to black but it does smell like unused fuel. MickLovin you are right there is a lot I forgot to add to that. it also ran fine for a few miles and i decided to idle in neutral and then after a few mins it started to idle rough so I tried to pump the bulb once and went to put it in gear and go but then it died once I went to take off. Long short of it, it didn't start again and I had a friendly fisherman tow me back to the launch. I have also checked the lower unit oil and it came out whitish thick creamy color so I think the seal might be bad.

Yes sounds like your up for a new seal, if you had it running then un did the lower unit it would explain the oil being air rated, not milky though, milky creamy water intrusion. Do all your maintenance checks, plugs etc.
