I'm looking at buying an older Hourston Glasscraft (1 owner) which was repowered in 2001 with a brand new '98 Mariner 50 hp 4 stroke which now has 50hrs. So I like the boat and I'm gonna get the engine inspected but I'd like to hear any feedback on these motors. Are they a decent motor? Will it have enough power to push this boat along fast enuf to kneeboard (Boat is 17ft similar to double eagle)? Do they require any special maintenace?<br />Thanx in advance for any info
