Not an expert so I'll await your reply. He said it was a GTX and not a GTX RFI. It's my understanding the only the RFI (I owned one) does not use a carb and uses injection. I did replace my rectifier because of issuesHi. This could be most commonly, either a battery (or related) issue…or to do with the rave (power valves) valves, depending on engine.
Have you jump started the ski from a running engine just recently ? This can blow the rectifier very easily on these. Means that a decent or charged battery will start her no probs…but won’t be getting charged.
Hi AD. You’ve got me thinking for a minute there. But, yeah…there are rave valves on the carb 951 engines. These were used in the gtx models in the 90’s for sure. Maybe the 787cc did too even. I had a Di model from 2001. Before, around and maybe even after then…there was rfi models too. But pretty sure that most from the mid to late 90’s Gtx models were usually carb 951 engines. They had rave valves I’m sure. Not an expert so I'll await your reply. He said it was a GTX and not a GTX RFI. I’m so sorry it is the RFI we’ve taken everything do the throttle body off and cleaned it throughly I know it hadn’t run in a year I put a new battery in itHi. This could be most commonly, either a battery (or related) issue…or to do with the rave (power valves) valves, depending on engine.

Check the power valves (if it has them) and make sure it’s charging from the rectifier. Could it be a fuel filter issue ?I’m so sorry it is the RFI we’ve taken everything do the throttle body off and cleaned it throughly I know it hadn’t run in a year I put a new battery in it
I have not I’ll need to get a compression tester or take it in somewhere to have it testedHave you checked compression?
Thank you I’ll let you know what I find in the next couple days what should the compression be aroundMight be able to borrow/rent one from a local auto parts store
When doing the test, disconnect all plugs
Spot on with that AD, as far as I’d be after.Hey @QBhoy what should it be, I'm thinking around 120?
We tested it and it was right around 150 we changed the fuel filters as well and checked the flame arestors and as soon as we hit 2500 rpm is Boggs out otherwise it purrs like a kitten until we try to go and bam no goSpot on with that AD, as far as I’d be after.
