99 force 120 noise end cap?

Hi guys first time posting on the site. hopefully some one will help me out. I have a 99 force 120 it makes a rapping/ loud rattle noise sounds like its coming from right below the fly wheel. It's harly noticeable untill you get to about 2500 rpms. Do you think the end cap bearing could cause this noise? The engine was rebut a year ago.

Kind of hard to say. Not that common for it to go bad unless it was installed improperly or something like that. If you lift up on the flywheel, is there any play? Might have to pry up gently on the flywheel with a couple of screw drivers on opposite sides to check. Be careful not to damage the flywheel/teeth or the magnets under the flywheel.

Check the timing?
Try moving the flywheel side to side.
Does it stop after 2500?
