99 Yamaha c60tlrx. Replaced impeller and when re-installing lower unit found it was out of neutral. Manual said to turn driveshaft clockwise while turning shiftshaft till neutral found. Did this but never really found a solid neutral area, it was like spring loaded at the neutral spot and as soon as I let go of shiftshaft it would pop back to foward or reverse. Don't know how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.
