As a victim of Hurricane Gustav who was without power for 3 days, I can tell you, the line workers who came from as far away as Ohio to help restore power are blessings from the Lord. They did an outstanding job of restoring power. I was riding my scoot last night and came upon two out of state line trucks (from the Houston area) and I honked my little horn and gave them a "thumbs up!" and a nod of the head as I passed them, a small gesture of appreciation for a job well done.
If anyone who is reading this is a line worker who helped restore power ANYWHERE in south Louisiana, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your efforts did NOT go unappreciated and we could see you guys busting your butt to get our power back. Fantastic job. But don't go too far, it looks like Ike has us in its sights!
