The stator is held by 4 wimpy looking aluminum bolts. Can I sub SS bolts?. I would feel alot more confident about using them when applying torque specs.
Another question. When putting back the flywheel...the manual tells me to use my un/installer. Then just loosen to the two bolts that are threaded. I really don't like that Idea cause I have to use the threaded insert of where the encoder wheel is held.
Could I just use some other bolts(5) and use the threading of the crank that hold down the flywheel?. If I use long bolts...I can put nuts with washers and just turn(1/4 at a time) the nuts 'til the flywheel is down. I already measured it....and it's supposed to be 8mm from the bottom of the wheel to the base of the block. Did that before I took it off.
