July 5, 2006 Woke up at 5:00 AM and fixed coffee. Signed on iboats and wasted some time. Paid my water bill online.
Fed the fish and the cat and then swept the bottom of the pool.
It's daylight now, so I head off to Wal-Mart to pick up a few items. Waiting for 9:00 AM when Bassrpo opens.
Spent way too much money at Basspro but do pick up the seat deck base that my fat friend broke last week.
Go to Denney's for breakfast.
Stop at the liquir store for supplies for a party in 2 weeks.
Get 5 gallons of gas for the lawn mowers.
Arrive home at 11:00 AM to find a note from the wife that she went grocery shopping.
Son arrives home and assists me in installing the seat base on the bass boat.
I mowed 4 acres and removed a cut off telephone pole that the previous owner had dividing the entrance to the shed. He used it as a horse shed and that dang pole has always bothered me. I've been here for 18 years. Takes me awhile to get to things sometimes.
Cut branches off some pine trees that were in the way of mowing.
I then hook up the air compressor to air up the tires on 2 old mowers that are useless. The fat friend is taking one of them off my hands and off my property. Hook up a tow rope on the one old mower out in the tress by the shed to get ready to load on my pickup and deliver to friend.
Then late in the afternoon the wife mentions that she wants the cupboard that is over the L shaped counter removed. She's been wanting that done for a long time. She caught me in the right frame of mind after 1 and a half beers.
Gather the necessary power tools and remove said cupboard. Wow. It really opened up the kitchen to the dining room. Lots of natural light now.
Wife fixes me a bourbon and water and the day is done and the relaxing begins. Wife and I get in the hot tub to discuss the day and drink more bourbon.
Son's girlfriend comes over and we discuss life with the two of them.(We're out of the hot tub).
Finally bedtime. Seemed like a busy day to me.
