I scored a few squall that's in pretty good condition but needs some repair. I've got a few questions.

The oar locks are pretty torn up and look like they were perviously repaired poorly. Any pointers on repairing them so they stand up to rowing stress?

There's no rudder and tiller and I suspect it will be hard to find a replacement do I'm probably going to have to build one. Suggestions on materials, etc?

The wooden portion of the keel has cuts and pits. What should I use to fill them? Epoxy? Wood filler? I already need to sand and paint below the water line so whatever I use will get a fresh coat.

Most of the things you mentioned are just run of the mill repairs. But Boston Whalers are somewhat unique boats. There's a board called whalercentral.com that discusses nearly every year and model of Whaler. I'm sure someone there could give you specifics on your boat.
