I charge $50.00 plus your man card, and travel expenses to do snake removal from boat. Hey make enough every year to pay for the cost related to the boat. Suprised how many men are scared of snakes. Oh did I mention they are the Lake Erie water snakes mainly, but can remember going on rattle snake hunts when lived in Northern Ca.

Geezus, if worrying about my motor running well isnt enough, now i gotta worry about slithering critters in muh boat now :facepalm: gonna have to start carrying a lasso stick and snake wand now next to the flares and paddles... Ugh... All I need... ANOTHER boating expense

A snake or two in the bilge could be a very effective backup if the pump fails or the ol snaky boat starts sinking. They would head for the highground and help w getting people off before it went down!

I didn't actually witness this, but a local man was out in his boat headed for a duck blind when he discovered a snake. He described it as huge, deadly and aggressive. He promptly let it have it with his 12ga duck gun. Boat didn't sink because of flotation but it had 2 holes about 6" across right through the bottom.

My wife is ex U.S.F.W.S. and I had access to her book. Thanks for the link though. Northern Water Snake. YEAH!!! Used a shovel, not my hand. It was very very angry but alive and well when I released it. Do not have time for a bite wound today. Have to prep home for Irene then will spend the storm on the Chesapeake bay.

I know I lost my card with the snake issue but maybe I will get it back Saturday night
