Able to collapse a bimini top that has a brace?

I've attached a picture. We've got almost the identical type Bimini top w/ rear brace, however need to know if this type can be collapsed either forward or backward to lay flush with the stern of the boat? If not, is it permanently in place? We simply would like to collapse it in the winter so as not to "stand up in the air" all winter (we could cover the entire boat with a boat cover). Thanks!

It is hard to tell without seeing a closeup of the connectors to the gunnels. My top has pins that go through the cover supports at the bottom. For winter I pull the pins and the entire cover with supports just lifts off.

yes you should be able to pull the pins on the rear supports to lay it flat.some have thumb screws ,some have pins.but you should be able to romve the whole top if you wanted too.

On mine I can take the support pole off and lay the whole top down on the stearn. If you cannot change the top mount so you can.
