I need to replace the fuel pick up tube on my old Tempo 28 gallon fuel tank. Tempo was bought out by Moeller so I called Moeller to ask about a replacement. They don't make any, but the lady said the tube is made out of nylon. I bought Moeller's whole fuel assembly since it fits the Tempo but the tube is about 5" too short. I cannot seem to find any 5/8" nylon tube anywhere but I've seen many places where I can get flexible black 5/8" fuel line (rubber?). Would this work to slip over the mostly ridged nylon tube on my tank to extend it's length enough? Thanks!

Thank you gents! Would the air hose work better then a rubber fuel line do you think?

Ayuh,.... Rubber hose is more apt to suck shut, where as the nylon is rigid, 'n can't collapse,...
