I have a 200 hp 2001 xl efi saltwater series motor, I just replaced the fuel pressure regulator which was definitely bad, the motor ran great in the driveway, but as soon as i put it in the water under load it wouldnt go over 2000 rpm and it wouldnt even come close to getting on plane, we pulled the plugs and they were fouled and wet with fuel, we changed the plugs and same thing happened, we checked the coils, wires, stator and trigger with an ohm meter and they all were right on with what the manual said,I know the fuel side of the motor is doing what it is supposed to, but it doesnt seem to be firing right. any help would be appriciated!
