Hey guys ...finally got the old merc running nice except for one thing ...it starts and idles great ..and at WOT it also runs great , also has a great hole shot ....now the issues...
1. When moving away from the dock there is a definite miss up until about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle then she clears up and takes off.
2. When going back to the dock she runs great at wot all the way back but it seems like if you dont let her slow down gradually and just shut her off after getting to the dock from the time it takes to get out of the boat and back the truck in shes tempermental about starting . This problem is not evident if you slow down gradually after going wot....(sticky float ?).....thanks for your comments
motor is a 1975 merc 850....has had new plugs/wires, fuel pump, carb rebuild
