Accessing lower unit on 79 Merc 80HP

It is not immediately obvious to me how I access the lower unit on this engine. Can anyone help me out?

Start with a service manual, if you can not even open it how do you think you can repair it.

Don't have a service manual, but we figured it out anyway. It wasn't nearly as hard as we thought, aside from some bolts sticking. And I think/hope we managed to repair it just fine. We got the engine started last night and it sounds good. We're going to replace the impeller and I think we'll be ok.
