I had a problem where my trolling motor was cutting out, and a friend of mine said I should take the bottom end apart and see if it had water in it--to see if it shorted. Well, I did, and it was fine. I found out later is was that my wires were too small and the relay on the end of the wire was melting.
But when I took the prop off, and looked inside, it was dry and I put it back together, but somehow the polarity got reversed. My friend thought I reversed the cylinder behind the prop, so I switched it, but it still runs backwards.
My wires aren't crossed either, already checked that. Thanks in advance.
