Has anyone ever added a strake to their hull? Ive seen alot of good hulls with two strakes on each side. I'm wondering if i can or should add one to a hull that only has one on each side? Any recomendations or opinions or know hows would be helpful, thanks

Re: Adding a Strake ?

I am inthe boat buisness and aquadynamics are really funny, things you think will work for sure do the opposite of what you want and some small changes make a huge difference.

You could glass something on but be ready to tear it off and try again if ti doesn't work, it is really a crap shoot.

In my opinion: Yes, you can but No, you shouldn?t. A hull is engineered to obtain specific handling and performance characteristics for its application. To alter that, even with the best of intentions, may have seriously undesired results. Save your money and effort.
