I use 89octane no ethanol gas exclusively in my 07 exec 150hp. Do I need to add anything to the fuel for winter storage or for that matter, any additives at any time. It has run perfectly since I bought it 3 years ago and I am puzzled by recommendations for additives.

I use Sta-bil in any gas I think may sit longer than 30 days before it is consumed.

Evinrude makes a whole slew of products to add to your fuel.
[h=1]Evinrude 2+4 Fuel Conditioner, similar to Sta-bil[/h]
Evinrude Engine Tuner, decarb, injector cleaner, fuel system cleaner

Evinrude Carbon Guard

and Evinrude fuel system cleaner

I would ask you Evinrude dealer which he would recommend for your etec

I use the Stabil Fuel Stabilizer all the time....dosage more or less depending on the length of time the motor will be laid up...

Thanx. I guess I don't see why additives are necessary except for storage. What do these other additives add to engine operation?

Throw a can of carbon guard in the tank now and then. Add a can of Ring free, carbon guard, seafoam, whatever your favorite carbon cleaner is, every couple of tanks and forget about any additive except for long term storage.
