What do I need to do after sanding the older glass?

Not sure what you're doing? A hole repair? Replacing wood? Adding something?

When you say sanding, I'm assuming you mean grinding?

Usually the first thing you do after grinding away the old glass is to wipe down the area with acetone to get rid of any dust..lol..You will have to provide a little more information before we can tell you the next step.
