Well, I got this thing working. The port trim ram appears to be leaking as do the two large hoses. Looks like I'll have to order a kit and and a couple of hoses. Thanks for all you guys help (especially yesterday). I'll update when i get all the stuff in.

Crappy deal dude, though I can say that I know exactly how you feel. In all fairness though, given the nearing 40 years of age, I myself came to realize it's to be expected. At least it's showing signs of life! :)

On labor day, I was able to land what I have been looking for. I found a guy selling my exact motor, same year with working ptt within 5 miles of my house. I have at home and I'm currently attempting to remove the ptt from the motor.
I'm having an issue trying to remove the long threaded rod (listed as part #12 in the breakdown from the manual on picasa). Looks like mine has seen it's better days. It looks to be a 18 5/8" threaded rod but the image is too blurry to be sure. Can anyone confirm the length on that and can I source a new one by part or should I just try to find threaded rod that size?
