I have a 2000 Johnson 70 hp outboard and was recently having some power/ fuel problems. It is a triple with 3 carbs. I changed the fuel filter, spark plugs and rebuilt the carbs. Took it out for a little test run and there was still a delay in my mid range power. Also it idled a little rough but still would easily get on plane and run near its original top speed. I decided to adjust the set screws on the carbs which was a big mistake because now I have no power to get on plane and it won't idle for more than 10 secs. Where do I start and what should I listen for? The other question I have is what should the spark plugs be gapped at? I set them at .030 for now.
thanks,
Garrett
