Advice on boat purchase please.

So I have a boat here Im looking at to buy. It is my boss's boat and he is selling it to me for a good price I think. I need to know if anyone has a clue on what kind it is and what brand it is. He hasnt looked at the title for it and doesnt remember what kind it is. He said something like 1977 lancer 235 but on google I cannot find anything about it. I would like to know if 3000 is a good price for it and if anyone has a clue about these boats. It has a 454 big block with a trs outdrive. It has a small cuddy and captains choice exhaust through hull all stainless steel. New cover on it and the trailer is in good shape. Thanks.

Welcome to iboats.
I would get more info about it (from your BOSS). You don't even know what size the boat is. 3g's sounds cheap to me and a hand full if you inherit the unknown problems.
Not trying to be rude but 3g's is 3g's.

it is 23' long. He has driven it a lot and has seven other boats and just wants to get rid of it. it needs a fuel line. Runs great and everything works good with it.

Take her out for a drive bud and discuss it over with a few bud's. Don't get the fuel line bit. Is it leaking or is the engine stalling?

it leaks a little bit right by the fuel tank. Do you know what brand boat this looks like or any idea?

Need more pictures. Can you get the serial numbers off the back of the hull? first three letters will tell. Hard to tell from that picture.

If there is a fuel leak in the engine area, I would have an issue with taking it out. Sorry, I don't recognize the make from the picture. Could be a sweet ride. . . but you need a lot more info before you jump into this. Get the lowdown on the boat - year, make, model, engine type and size, etc. Is the floor sound? The interior? The cockpit? THE HULL and TRANSOM? My $.02 - even if I had 7 boats - I would know enough to describe every aspect of all of my boats.

what do you mean have an issue taking it out? you mean driving it before it gets fixed and everything? I know that lol. I will look over everything your talking about we just havent had time to get it uncovered and everything because Im only at work during hours and didnt get a chance to check it out. im confused now. it is a good size boat but not too big. I think the 454 will be alright. what does belleview mean by the fuel leak?
