A little background,I bought this boat and motor 2 weeks ago (skeeter bass boat with 90 hp mariner 1984)previous owner said last time he took it out it run good going out coming back in it seemed to have lost 3 cyl.he thought that the switchbox was bad.I did comp test good, all plugs firing, started it on muffs sounded good,so took it out on lake and it will go about 5 mph will not plane out.went to test stator and the stator wires going to the switchbox's are back words two switchbox's side by side occording to schematics all wires are correct except the four coming from stator blue and red wire are switched with blue/red strip and red/strip my question is would this make a difference is it worth my time to put them on correct switchbox and try again or just test stator and replace switchbox's and or stator?hope this makes sense sorry for being so long thanks for any advice

Re: advice on electrical

Remove outer switch box, remove stator wires from both -blue/white and red/white from outer, blue and red wire from inner.
Perform ohm test....red to ground on both.... and b/w to r/w....then b to r.
Post your results.
