I wanted to be sure the windshield I bought would work, so before putting the cap back on I set the windshield on the cap to see if it was close.



This Windshield is off a 88' Barretta Success and I think I can make it work!!

Today I flipped the cap to do some repairs. There were a few cracks in the corners and some reinforcing was needed.

I also finished up the mounting for the bilge pump.

I agree with GT it really will change the appearance of the boat in a good way I think !

The splash well drain fiberglass is deteriorated from the bottom. Some grinding down to fresh glass was necessary and three layers of csm was applied.



Years ago someone applied some jb weld or something to seal it up. I'll grind that out when I flip the cap back over.

Nice patch now you can do the rest when the cap goes back on ..
Btw , you glassing in that ratchet strap to keep your beer cooler from sliding around ? :laugh:

I flopped the boat off the trailer on to the ground to make it easier to get in and out of 5000 times. I then went to my brothers to measure up his open bow to get an idea of where I need to be.


He has a real nice open bow but not as nice as a fiberglass open bow!!


I then went to work on the structure for some front seats.

Working on the bow structure and the dash-windshield framing. Went to Menard's to get a sheet of 3/4. They had 4 sheets of arauco ply at the bottom of about 30 or 35 sheeets of the acx 5 ply, that I bought last time. I pulled out all that stock and put 2 sheets of the 4 arauco on my cart, and put back all but about 6 or 8 sheets for the employee's that walked around me and never asked if I needed any help. Oh well the arauco is worth the extra work! The Acx they had is all warped.

Oh ya the check out Gal asked if i will be putting that on a Menard's card? I said no I will be putting that on my Home Depot card!!!! :laugh:

dood, they have a whole rack of Arauco, and uh, you can just pull right off the top eh???

Well, they did last time I was there anyway (seems like I'm there at least once a day)
