AfterMarket Tilt/Trim Motor replacement (pump question)

Got an 1988 Merc 150 outboard that I am replacing the tilt/trim motor on. The problem I have is that the new motor doesn't exactly mount to the existing pump unless I can turn the pump. How do I either remove or simply turn the pump to get the holes to align.

make sure you have the right pump.

I am not replacing the pump. Only the motor
