Hey gang, I just removed the carb cover on my C115, 1994, there was one bolt missing so the gasket was not seated right, I am probably going to replace it.

Now to the question, should there be any kind of filter medium in there at all ? , Filter, spray oil, or anything ? it was a little oily inside and dirty so I wiped it out, just want to know if I should put anything in there before I put it back together.

thanks

As a rule, outboards neither need nor use air filters, keiperrc. Air is pretty clean on the water.
