As I posted last week, my 79 Chrysler Satellite, quit on me in the middle of the lake. I got it running, something had clogged up in the openings where the air mix screw goes. I noticed chucks of the black foam inside the housing were falling off.

The carb on the boat has no screen, no filter to keep crap from getting sucked into the mouth of the carb. Is something supposed to be there??

Nope. I sometimes remove the foam if it's rotton enough.

Take the foam out. No air filter.

There is a guy at Franzmarine that make new insulation kits.
