A friend gave me an new/never used AirMar Bronze Thru-Hull Trieducer Multisensor today. Anyone familiar with it? I think it came w/ an Impulse Depth Finder. The tags show AirMar 653-01-00
IMM2004A/573 for the depth sounder (200mhz). The speed paddle which is inserted through the center (also has the plug)of the transducer. Tag says: AirMar 2-AO IM 2004A/25-121.
I have an old Impulse 3100 LOran/Depth finder that I am currently using, so don't know if it woulk work on it or not. Any Information would be great. Thanks

Re: AirMar Bronze TRIDUCER

Hi, I doubt it, they make a lot of models. Here's a link to their site. Click on "Cross Reference", find that part #, it will tell you which brand/models it's for. Good Luck.

Airmar Cross Reference

EDIT: Or you can call/email them using the info provided on their site. They just emailed me back a day or 2 after I had asked a similar question.

Thanks for the info. I checked out the cross reference site and could not find the unit. I sent them an e-mail asking questions so maybe I will hear from them in a day or two or 3.
I think it is a B-56, but still unable to locate it on the site.

Why not just give them a call? If not them call Gem Electronics, they should be able to tell you.

Thom

Re: AirMar Bronze TRIDUCER

OK! got an e-mail back from AirMar. The unit is a 120KHZ, which is what my old Impulse 2831 is, so I guess it will work. As long as the depth sounder is 120 KHZ it will work. I am assuming it has a narrow beam of 20 degrees, but asked them about that, waiting on an answer. My maunal says that I should be good down to about 900+ ft with 20 degree transduecer.
I think it is great that some of these companies will take the time to offer thier services to individuals like us.
