I think you have stumbled on to the master plan by some folks, lets take the wealth from the rich and give it to the poor and the poor blacks. then everyone will be equal.
Only problem with this is it has been tried befour, think the fellows name was Adolff soumthing or other. Algore being an ex-vice president commands a lot of respect, which he personally doesn't deserve. He is no better then Carter going standing on foreign soil and critisizing the United States. They are both trators to this country and are both a couple of dip sh%&s. Now let's hear you left wing radicals defend that.

Simmer down now. Let's keep our attitudes in check and discuss the issue at hand. Otherwise, this thread will be locked.

Heck no had a great fishing trip Sat. afternoon. Below a dam, took 2 striper and threw back about 10. Fish fry with neighbors all is well for me. Just afraid my thread was slowing down needed an injection, not hard to do with this crowd. Yuk yuk. darn ole left wing grenade chunking liberal.

Sad part is if I had any brains I would be a hard right radical, down with the common man. Guess I see myself above the lower class also. Not sure that is why God put me on this earth so I will continue my ways, right or left.

Re: ?????????Al Gore????????????

Just because AL Gore was removed from political office by the American people don't mean he is still not the darling of the liberal American press and the bleeding heart librals of the world, he was removed from office because he had demonstrated himself less than trustworthy, he could not even carry his own state in his run for president. So who among us would want to hitch our horse to his wagon, not me thats for sure. To some of you out there who cry and whine contuially about our elected leaders, the majority of people of country elected them. Be carefull with your speechs as the enemy is listening to us and it give him hope and shames this great country and kills our kids. If your favorite political party was not elected don't blame all of the problems of the world on the other party, try to work for your candidate in the next election and if they prove themselves worthy they will be elected AL GORE DID NOT get over it

Just imagine the many reasonable Democrats that have to fend off the unthinking antics of the Al Gores, Hillarys, John Kerrys, Howard Deans, etc. of their party.

What a shame for those people....

Absolutely. And it hurts the country too. If the democrats were on the ball, they'd get rid of the likes of Kennedy, Dean, and their kind. As it is, the repubs have an easy ride and aren't as responsive to the people as I would prefer to see.

Re: ?????????Al Gore????????????

As more and more try to explain things to me, I just get more and more confused!

The original premise was Al Gore said we were treating Arabs poorly, and that somehow saying that was traitorous, or simply being a political hack...

Well I don't know what Gore was referring to specifically, but rather than deny the validity of the statement, everyone seems to be defending the practice of treating Arabs poorly! Whoa!!

And then Ken says:
"Dont you think it would make sense to round up all the people here with expired visas? Shouldnt we harass all people here who's visas are expired? I dont care where they are from, but it probably made sense to start with Saudi, DONT YOU THINK????"

Well, I'm not sure we should "harass" anyone, but we should know who we advance visas to, and why, and what status they are in. In this day and age of information technology, we should not need to rely on race or religion to decide where to start. Should we?

Perhaps Gore was suggesting we get better computers. I have no idea how what he said could be considered traitorous, or even partisan politically, however!

Oh and Ken, there is a large difference between the Saudi people and a Saudi prince.

Can you name any religon/race/creed/sexual orientation that has not been treated poorly at some point in their life because of their r/r/c/so?

Re: ?????????Al Gore????????????

PW2...concentrate on this word: expired. An expired visa means the person is here i-l-l-e-g-a-l-l-y.

Another thing---Algore said implied that Arabs were being rounded up and mistreated because they are Arabs. That's an out-and-out lie.

Quote:

"The former US vice-president told the largely Saudi audience, many of them educated in US universities, that Arabs in the United States had been “indiscriminately rounded up, often on minor charges of overstaying a visa or not having a green card in proper order, and held in conditions that were just unforgivable.”"

There is nothing "indiscriminate" about rounding up people who are breaking the law. Gore is a pathological liar, and a traitor. He is a danger to America.

Re: ?????????Al Gore????????????

Know what's cool about politicians? They can make a short speech full of enuendos', partial and half truths and very large words (what the heck does endemic hyper-corruption mean???) and just **** the living crap outta' nearly the entire population across the US. Off course the populace of "their party" are happy. And they do this knowing it's what the group they are speaking to, wants to hear.

What a load of.......stuff!

Debates on politicians and issues is like debating the genisis of life......who knows what was real and what the truth really is.

OK....that's my political view for the next year.

This is just sad. Death to all thinking Americans!! Get in lockstep with the Bush Regime OR ELSE!!!!

dogsdad, go back and read what you wrote. Read the part from the Gore quote that appears in your own post.

Specifically, read this part and held in conditions that were just unforgivable.

So, now I'm asking you, what conditions were they held in? You must know, or else you wouldn't have any reason to object to Mr. Gore's statement. That, or else you deem any conditions at all to be satisfactory. That would put you squarely in Sadam Hussein's camp.

And it wasn't because they were Arabs! Right. Not even Bush denied that.

Re: ?????????Al Gore????????????

I give up. I hope someday you don't have the fun of being "rounded up", and confined without charges filed, held indefinitely, and without access to a lawyer.

Perhaps if that happened to you, you just might be a little more sympathetic.

On top of that, it is a technique that is completely counter-productive and bound to create more problems than it could possibly ever solve.

At least, when it continues to go from bad to worse, you can close your mind and eyes and take comfort in claiming "It's not our fault"

Get real, jt. You have got to be s******* me! Just because Algore said it, it's true? Why don't you tell me about the conditions under which these alleged detainees were allegedly held?

In case you missed it, the hijackers who crashed planes into the WTC were ARAB. Would you be more comfortable if we were keeping closer tabs on the Swedes or the French who happen to be in the country?

"Get in lockstep with the Bush Regime OR ELSE!!!!"
hehehe...that seems to be your mantra, only replace "Bush Regime" with "the DNC." You are entirely too freekin' funny!
