86 Cruisers Inc Elegante, twin crusader 270's. When I turn the port engine ignition key to the run position I hear a buzzing (alarm type sound) in the cockpit. It does not do this with the starboard engine.

This is the first time I have owned a twin engine boat or a boat of this size but I understand some have various alarms.

Any ideas?

The only alarms I know of are water temp & oil pressure, I'd start there...;)

Check the oil pressure switch (NOT gauge sender) on the Starboard engine. It should be closed when not running and cause the alarm to go off.
Also ground the oil pressure switch wire with the key in the run position and see if the alarm buzzer even works.
