I woke the motor after a short Winter nap and all seemed ok, except the alarm was sounding off. The water pump was working and no excessive temperature noted. The oil tank on the motor was full and the exhaust smoke appeared normal. Does this motor have an oil pump and could that be my problem? Thanks for any help that is offered.

Is it a heat(steady) or oil(pulsing) warning? You might unplug the oil tank to see if thats the trouble the magnet on the sensors fall off and then it thinks your out of oil

The warning alarm is continuous. However, I did not notice any heat. I could put my hand on the cylinder head and it felt only warm. The tell tail had a good stream and water coming out of the exhaust was good and warm. Do you know of any other malfunction that would cause my problem? I planned on taking it fishing this weekend but may hold off until I get rid of this problem. That alarm will drive you over the side.

You might ck the temp sensor or replace it, on that engine there is no thermostat so either the imp took a set while in storage or the sender is bad
