can anybody tell me the different alarms and the way they sounds boat is throwing an alarm that get faster and louder the faster i get.just changed the impeller and housing and thermostats and disconnected the oil and now premix my gas. Its a 97 Johnson 130. I know disconnecting the oilier will make it throw an alarm but i was told the alarm will be once like every 5 to 7 min this is sooner and faster the reason i disconnected the oilier is there is a chance they will go out and if i have a bad alarm then that means no oil no alarm no way to tell and there goes my motor. Iam just scared to use it i guess would rather premix my gas .

Re: Alarm going off

Yup, that would help out a lot. Older alarms were different than the new ones, which are just one alarm with different lights on the dash.

Not sure why you'd disconnect the VRO/OMS, it's a great system, but if you didn't do it right, you may be getting a no oil alarm, basically the VRO/OMS pump isn't seeing any oil flow and warning you that you have no oil mixing in with your gas.....like I said good system.
