Hey guys Im new here and was looking for a hand with my new boat <br />she is a 31'early 90's silverton <br />powerd by a pair or crusader 350s with straight drives 1.88:1 gear ratios.<br />the boat weights 15000 lbs on the scale fueld and water full.<br />I have tried every thing the prop guys have thrown at it and can not to get her on step<br />I am currently running 18X15 4Blades with a heavy cup and am turning 4550 rpms<br />the last resort is over sized Trim Tabbs <br />HELP :confused:

Those engines must not be making power. 454s would be a better engine but decent 350s should plane it. Did you diognose the engines?

the engines are running good.<br />I thought of thet at end of last year had them pulled and sent to richmond engines for dyno pulls 280 hp at the flywheel on both motors

It appears the motors are turning fast enough, something must be slipping, does this hull have prop pockets? it could be possible your getting alot of air around the prop's, If your getting low speed and high rpms the props may be cavitating or the boat is bow heavy. Have you tried to contact Silverton to find out what the factory spec weight and props were when new.

i have a portable tack that uses spots placed on shafts to measure RPM this would allow you to rule out any sliping from the tranys <br /><br />tommays

yes i will i have to get my Hull # and then we will see what comes of it
