Finally got some clear days...(sorta) and got the Regal wet.

Over winter...rebuilt card (thanks Eggkr8) and replace lower unit with a used on off eBay.

Friday..took her out on local freshwater lake to tune in carb...idles at about 800-1000 RPM...alittle high (still working on that). Before...lose power and bog down after 3/4 throttle... now..get a slight hesitation at bout 3/4 throttle then kicks in...WOT was up to about 5400 (should be around 4800 - have to work on that). Got alittle water in bilge...last year before outdrive accident always bone dry...watch that.

Sunday...took her out to Naragansett Bay wiht kids. WOT at 4800..(I didn't change anything). Got caught in a nice shower (20 minutes in cuddy waiting it out). After shower passed had a great time cruising around. At ramp...pulled plug and "alot" of water poured out. I am hoping this was from rain. I turned bilge pump on after rain and nothing came out...(have to re-check pump).

WOT got me about 42 MPH by speedo...have to check it with GPS next.

All in all...I'm happy.

My question - is it normal to have a higher RPM in freshwater? If so...which should I use to determine prop size/pitch or should I get a second prop for freshwater use?

Thanks for all the advise you guys have given me in the past. Now I get to start my Silverline renovation...and YES...I will take LOTS of pictures.

-JustMrWill
