I have a 1988 alpha one generation one drive behind my 3.0 motor.

I want to install a new seal in the shift shaft but I CANNOT find the part number for it.
I have a sierra catalog but can't find it in there.

The bushings are good so all I need is the seal if possible, but I'll buy the bushing kit if I have to, just to get the seal.

If anyone has access to the sierra or mercruiser number, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Assuming you mean the one in the bellhousing, head for your local Mercruiser dealer. They arent an aftermarket item.

Thanks Don, Now I know why it's not in the sierra book.

The seal I need IS the one in the bell housing.

Any way I can locate a part # on here or on-line so I can just call the dealer and not have to spend an hour with him going crazy trying to find it?

My local dealer has great people but they can't find parts that they don't use everyday.

Thanks again,

If you have your outdrive SN, go to mercs Parts Express
