Hi Guys
I am back with another question. When I shift into forward gear there is a fairly loud clunk and the bout jolts forward. It is not a smooth transition. Once it is moving it accelerates fine it is just the initial engagement. Is it an issue with the shift cables or something else? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you have the idle to high. It should be set between 650-700 RPM in forward gear

If it should be 650-700 RPM then yes I do have it to high I am almost double that. I will play with it when I get home and let you know. Thank you very much for this as this will probably save me a lot of time.

If you adjusting on the trailer, get it no more then 800, less is better. Then when its in the water and you can idle in gear do final adjust
