Hi all.
On my Volvo Penta 5.7 MPI (Vortec engine), the alternator is 75A.
I will upgrade it to a 145A which I've been told by my local starter/alternator rebuild shop, it was the highest amps that could fit this case and the Volvo bracket.
I will upgrade the B+ wire to a 1 AWG.
But, I see there is a ground wire attached to the case.
Why is it there? The casing is already grounded to the engine by the bracket?.
Do I need to also upgrade that ground wire?
