what are the two m's for on the back of the ignition? is the ignition switch grounded? im thinking of running my fuse panel off the acc connection on the switch just wondering whats the best way to ground it now.

The "M" indicates "Magneto". Your ignition system is what is called a Magneto Capacitance Discharge ignition system, simply meaning that the ignition is self contained, obtains its power from the stator under the flywheel and does not and must not have battery voltage applied to it.

One of the "M" terminals is usually a raised post, has a black/yellow wire attched to it which is a kill wire leading to the powerpack. The other "M" terminal should have a black wire attached to it which must be connected to ground.

I advise strongly against connecting that fuse panel to the "A" terminal of the ignition switch as you would then be running all of the fuse panel accessories thru the engine's 20 ampere powwer fuse first before the voltage has access to the fuse panel's fuses. Bottom line... leave the ignition switch alone!

I suggest that you obtain a service manual that has a wiring diagram, probably available at this site, in order to avoid possible expensive errors.
